I would also use a larger diameter overflow hole and tube, as the straw will certainly get clogged up from the Potting Mix.

My order arrived of the "plant warrior" pots today. They are are solid and sturdy as a quality 5gal bucket.

They seller that I bought these from had the 5gal on back order, but I wasn't aware of that until my order arrived. Needless to say, he made it right, and contacted the distributor who's also located in FL, and had it drop shipped - so I should have the rest of my order in a few days.



Going to transplant my peppers into the 2gal containers this weekend, and I'm going to be trying the "Happy Frog" soil, from Fox Farm.

You might want to set them outside in the sun first and see if they heat up. From the pictures thay look black in color. If they do heat up you need to put a covering around them to block the sunlight. Ami

Just received the rest of my order (5gal pots) today. For only a couple bucks or less, a pot, I am extremely pleased in the quality.


Looking forward to how well these work, and if the cone in the bottom actually helps.

Wish I could - it's been about 2, 2.5 weeks since I transplanted. I'll be curious to see the rootball/roots after the plant's all done, to see if the roots have been air pruned.

Any updates yet? I've had good luck so far...once the roots hit the cone my plants are doing better than the others.

That's good to know as I just couldn't wait and ordered 25 - 5 gallon for next year. The shipping was almost as much as the pots which puts the cost around $5.29 per pot which still is not bad for here.

Hi Sue, I will send a picture of my tomato's and peppers soon. FYI...I recently accepted a position to sell the PW's new product named the Holey Cone in September. You place the Holey Cone in pots you already own, shipping costs are really low. Right now you can only buy them on-line..

The pots I have now do not have a drainage hole in the center, just around the bottom sides. How big of a hole do I need to drill for the holey cones?
