Vinny!!

Excellent!!! Your plants are beautiful!
I echo others remarks concerning having my plants look as good as yours when they mature.

Default Tomatoes Arrive

Tomatoes are being harvested! Many of these are not as dark as I thought they would be but they are still probably not at the peak of ripeness. I certainly expected Black Crimson and Paul Roberson to be darker. They give to pressure on the bottom and I have to stay ahead of the birds and squirrels, thank God rabbits do not climb.

I use Miricle grow potting mix with some cow manure compost mixed in. I use CarolynPhillips fertilizer mix mentioned here in the container forumns and many of the tips and suggestions given to me by folks here, especially where fungal issues are concerned.

How did the cream sausage come out?
Is there enough for sauce?

Vinny, I would agree, I thought those would be darker too. From what I've read, many of the darker tomatoes achieve peak color in the really hot climates. Interesting.

I still don't have any ripe. Some quite large ones and the plant is very loaded but they are all still very hard and very white. They have quite a unique shape, I'll have to post some pics of it. If they all ripen at reasonably close time I should have enough for sauce. Do you have a recipe? I should probably find a way to elevate the plant before they start ripening, they are within reach of the rabbits. I could probably hang it somewhere since its in a bucket. I hate rabbits...

It is possible that a few days indoors will change their color some more. When I picked the Brandywine it was quite a bit more pale.

I had a big Taps today omg it was soo good I think my favorite so far. Though the Brandywine OTV was excellent as well. I've not been disappointed with anything so far. Still no cream sausage ripened yet.

These are the Cream Sausage Tomatoes growing out of a Fresh Step bucket. Still blooming with lots of tomatoes but none ripe as of yet.
