The greens in the salad are indeed purslane. Last year we got it a few times during the leaner weeks; first time I had ever tasted it. It was pretty good in the salad. and all the tomatoes were delicious.

It never fails to amaze me how so many people can show so much excitement over so many tomatoes for so many years.

The only other vegetable I like to grow as much and is as pretty to me is the pepper.

Every year folks get together here they start seeds baby their plants put them out to grow tomatoes.

Then at the end of the season we struggle to get the last fruit before the plant succumbs to the freeze that is sure to come.

Then we spend the winter preparing for the next season and talking about what we are going to grow.

Truly a unique group of people that can put all other differences aside to tlak about and grow tomatoes.

World leaders should do as much.

Tomatoes the peace keeper.

Worth.
