The tomato article came out... most of my babble didn't make it in but they got the basics in there.

He missed that tomatoes with the rin gene aren't GMO and the address for tomatobase is wrong, but hopefully people will still find it.

Great article! Hopefully it leads to a prosperous and fulfilling future for you and you garden. It's refreshing to see an article like this from an author that seems to really know about their subject and can speak so passionately about it. Are you sure he's not a T'ville member?

Kyle is a guy and is just absolutely passionate about food, he's currently a chef at Carmella's, a local upscale Italian restaurant owned by some friends. He also writes this column and does a lot of local side work visiting farms and setting up farm to table dinners to try to build up local food awareness.

He used to work in northern California and if I recall correctly he worked at some places in Napa that got tomatoes from Brad Gates, so he adored all of those varieties that I had growing this year.

His enthusiasm was infectious, I don't often have garden visitors who are actually interested in where something came from, who was the breeder of a non-heirloom variety, etc. Most people are 'wow, look at that, where did you get all those?' and I have to watch for the glazed expression coming on so I know when to stop talking...

Nice article: I hope it helps people understand that “we the local farmers‘ loves the work of preserving ‘Heirloom Fruits & Vegetable”.
We the local Farmers of the Unites States of American wants to be taken seriously ".
