My dog doesn't like tomatoes in fact I throw undesriables in the yard all the time to rot away. Now carrots she loves, she will sneak them out of my basket. Go figure.

Boo Boo eats avocados, onions, garlic, sauerkraut potatoes green beans corn squash any kind of meat, pasta, pizza popcorn hot peppers, he wont eat a cat but he will lick one.

When growing up I don't think I can remember seeing any dog food in the supermarkets.First I remember is Alpo.Our mutts got leftovers and whatever "free range" they got thier muzzles on.

All this is on top of his dog food.
He gets Blue Buffalo.

I just dont throw out scraps if he will eat them.
It depends on how many snacks as to how much dog food he gets.

When I rinse out a tomato sauce can I give the liquid to him.
I fry something I glaze the pan and do the same, he looks forward to it.
I just dont give him sharp chicken bones and such.
Nothing goes to waste.

I have a constant "difference" with the wife about our mutts.She babys the Doberman and Rottweiler and her two Italian Greyhounds with all these fancy store bought foods.My two Ridgebacks will not touch half the storeboughts she trys to spoil them with.They are just as happy with the left overs or as a treat once a week some gigantic soup bones that they disappear with all day.

Oh what a beautiful Tri, they are my favorite color, then the sable/white, a of course the blue merles... well I guess I love all three colors. I'm not too found of the whites, as those folks (at least in our breed) aren't breeding quality.

I use to feed my collies scraps from our family restaurant business, they never ate dog food and when I was at the shows the others couldn't get over how my collies looked, they also were never sick.

I was on a BARF diet when we lived in KY as I knew several folks with free range chickens so I would feed backs, necks, wings raw, I especially loved the clean up as it was white and turned to powder within a few days. My collies were in great shape and health. Then we moved to northern Ohio and now FL and I've not found anyone that I trust to purchase from so they are on dog food and they don't like it, but they eat it with other human table food added.

My dog, a mixed bread is very picky. He won't eat a fresh cherry tomato, but when I dried my first ever in the new dehydrater, he loves them dried!

Reminded me of my grandson's story about how his pet lizard, which he caught when he was on vacation with us in June, 'prefers story-bought' crickets to the ones he caught in his back yard.!!! Must run in the family.

zeroma, that is funny, our grandson tried to catch some lizzards while he was down visiting us and the shocked look on his face when their tails would come off..... priceless, after we quit laughing so hard we broke down and told him that is what they do.... but he so wanted to take some home to KY.... we told him they most likely would die when the winter came so it would be best if he left them right here in FL.... so he collected all the tails to take home for show and tell at school.... I just wonder what the teacher through about that report...LOL
