I was talking with a couple who visited the community garden while I was working there. They were from New Mexico and said their main gardening problem is elk. The only thing that has worked for them is a repellent called Plantskydd.

I almost always have better luck with hybrids and even then some won't do well for me like big beef, better boy, whopper, moreton, etc
I have geat luck with Bush Big Boy (Burpee), First Prize (TGS) and also an OP called Hill Top. CECIL

My grandparent's favorite tomato is Jet Star. They have been growing it for a long time. I will always have Early Girl. Terrenzo is my favorite determinate red cherry.
I'm trying Big Beef for the first time this year, as well as Tomande, Lemon Boy, and a variety from Genetic Seed that they call "heirloom orange f1," which is a ridiculous name, but it's meant to be an imitation heirloom. |
