Oooh - I love seeing all those CP pictures in a whole block on the More Picture tab link. Great idea, Tania!

#headertabs.jquery-large .ui-widget-content a { color:#0645AD; } #headertabs.jquery-large .ui-widget-content a:visited { color:#0b0080; } in this cascading style sheet: /w/extensions/HeaderTabs/skins-jquery/ext.headertabs.jquery-large.css Warning I know enough to be dangerous. I don't know if there are more css sheets in the background or even if this is the right one. I know there are at least 2 others and I didn't look in them to see what they contain. |

I think the tabbed version cleans the page up a lot.

If there were one thing I would like to change most about tbase, it would be to put more items on the index pages. For example, if I look at the tomatoes that begin with A, I can see about 200 items and have to scroll to a second page to see the rest of the list that begin with A. I wish you would show 300 items per index page.

I love it! It's way more convenient to have only ripe fruit on the front page. Some varieties had way too many flower, plant and green fruit pics, which is also useful, especially when you compare leaf shapes and baby fruits, but it's better to have a separate tab for them. Keep up the good work!

Make the tabs stick out more, because you are right, I would not have noticed them unless you told me.

Like the tab for the additional pictures. Liked Doug9345 said it cleans it up.
In that vein does anybody really need to know where seeds were available in prior years? Save a little time etc. eliminate out of date info? Just a thought.

I have to admit I just started using this exclusively as my "go to" two days ago when making up index cards for the upcoming grow out (while everyone is going from index cards to folia). Before I would just be jumping search engines for each variety. I have to agree with DarJones on the index being a bit difficult to navigate. I also think the listings by categories link should be given a bold font as it is easy to miss and so incredibly useful. I'm partial to either format on the photos and page layout. Will leave that to the more experienced users here to differentiate..

I think it needs a ride to make it more exciting.
Maybe one of these to draw people in. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.aWM&cad=rja Worth |

I, too, like the new layout. A great improvement to an already great sight!
I do have one question, though. I'm totally clueless about how these things work behind the scenes, so if this is a difficult request, disregard it! Is there any way to set up the seed source page so that when you click on a vendor's website link, it opens in a new page? I sometimes forget to right-click (or touch and hold on my iPhone or iPad) and tell it to do so, and when I want to jump back to the Tomatobase page to check another vendor, I have to do a lot of back-tracking to get there. Thanks to both you and your husband for all the work you put into the site! |

It's a go! I like the tabs and even found them in the default color. The best made better.

I think it works. You need to realize there are tabs on the first vist. However, there is enough information on the first page to make a visit worthwile.

Tania, A definite improvement, although I personally like all of the information on the same sheet rather than the tabs. Where in this format would folks enter grow data for regions such as Deep South?

I'm conflicted about posting this here but less than a half hour ago I got an e-mail from Tania saying she was rushed to the hospital with chest pain. Her heart seems ok but they want to now do a CT scan of the chest area.
Always thinkihng of others she asked me to post at TV, and I asked her where would be best, to tell folks that she might not be able to send out tomato seeds Monday as she told several folks she would do. So rather than in this thread, depending on what I hear back from her, I might do a new thread in the General Discussion Forum to reach as many of those who might have ordered from her. And no, I don't know if she's reading here at TV, her e-mail sent I suppose from her smart phone, not a dumb phone like I have. So fingers crossed for her. I thought it best for those of you making suggestions about her changes that she might not be able to see them right now,or answer, or act on them. Carolyn
