Support for tomatoes

Urbanfarmer, those tomatoes look terrific! What size pots are you growing out of along the side of the house?

That's one of our customer's hydroponic systems. We became facinated years ago with hydroponic vegetable production and invented this system called The Urban Farm. Those are 3 gallon pots connected in series to a reservoir. They get irrigated/fed 6 times/day. I could go on and on, but someone might think we're plugging, so I'll cut it short.

It never crosses our minds to grow any other way. A good system, along with quality nutrient means plants get to realize their maximum potential without restraint. Hydro done right has no competition. "Done right" is the qualifier.

Hydroponic vegetable gardening often invokes skepticism because of a failed effort by someone. On the contrary, hydro is entirely legitimate.

Get an eyeful of this wall of cukes and tomatoes. This customer had to learn real quick the importance of pruning. We always say, "the hardest part is managing the growth". Things can get out of hand.

Quite impressive, Urbanfarmer. I usually associate hydroponics with indoor growing, I like seeing what they can do outside.
