They're in Mt. Kisco?? Holy Cow!
$180 to drive to Queens?? I would never do that. Something sounds strange. |

See my calculations above. Even in up state NY I'd get $50 for running a load to the dump which was 10 or 20 miles depending on which side of the county line you where on and therefore which dump it had to go to. That was with a 25+ year old dump that had no payments, me doing the maintenanceh and take cash in hand. |

BC,
Wish I needed some. That's a good deal with delivery. Like their willingness to share the assay and confirmation of no bio solids. I haven't found a LI company west of Riverhead that I trust. LI Compost is the big one and they sell a lot a HD and Lowes. I won't use their stuff though. |

Doug, I googled Mt. Kisco to queens and came up a little longer BUT that doesn't matter. It said 42 miles in 50 min......OVER THE WHITESTONE TOO!!! good luck to them.
some great points were made. Basically doing it at cost. Fuel and tolls would be too costly to do the job for me. James, I was going to suggest L.I. compost as I have brought many o' truck load to them!! Not a BAD product but it everything under the sun so it might not be up to the standards of what people want in their gardens. All organic there. No pallets etc. West of that you have to go to the town run facilities. Islip is one near Mac Arthur airport. Greg |

Greg,
Using LI compost for the yard beds maybe but as you clearly know, don't know what's in it! |

It's all yard waste. Grass, leaves, trees. Nothing special. The place is HUGE!!
The thing is I really don't think they let it compose enough. lol Greg |

There's a delivery charge. Some places I used to deal with gave free delivery if it's in a certain mile radius. Mt. Kisco to Queens is out of their radius. lol

Worth, I know they started selling it at some of the local Home Depots or Lowe's. Forget which one, so you may see it there soon!

They also sell what they call dillo dirt. It is from the city sewer in Austin and is composted it still smells like a Hawg farm and I wont use it. I bet you could find trace amounts of cocaine in the stuff. Worth |
