Right on, Stacy! The sun is high! Can't deny that... winter will not last forever.

We may have a cold summer though, if the winds are not kindly enough to get rid of so much ice (worst in 30 years, they say).

I think the cool summer is virtually guaranteed here. Michigan has ice to depths of 3' in some places. That's gonna take awhile to melt and then get water temperatures up. I still think we are on the homestretch for the winter stuff though!

I will be so happy when I can go outside and wet my plants!

Was planning on planting out on Sunday, but with a forecast high of only 50, and low's 37-39 for the next few days following, I am wondering if I should just wait until Tuesday when temps look better? If I wait, then I may not get as many tomatoes, but if they freeeze or just sit there in the ground, does it matter?

I dont trust the weather man this year, I dont think the wait will matter that much.

Good year to lose the seedlings. Better wait.

I don't trust them either.

Around here, for about the last month, the 7 and 10 day forecasts have been fairly niceonce you get beyond the current 2 or 3 days. But then move up those 3 days and were have nothing but the same old cruddy cold weather and the "nice" stuff is still out around 7 - 10 days out. I'm so sick of them "teasing" and not delivering.

The way this winter has been I'm worried about April 1. It just might be a doozy of a weather April Fool that none of us want to see.

Worth,

I agree, as the cold weather will just cause the plants to sit and mope, will wait till Tuesday or Weds. to plant them. Maybe our lingering cold will extened into April, May , and June.
