We have talked about this many times which is giving the "Cold Treatment" to seedlings prior to plant out. It was developed for commercial greenhouse growers and also applicable to home/hobby growers. How the tomato plant is grown and in what conditions in the seedling stage will determine production, earliness and health of the plants. Here is a link about it. It to late for this years crops but something to look at for next years grow.
