Heads up! 'Tormato' just posted the thread for the 2014 seed swap...it's where ALL the action will be. The train is leaving the station...get on board.

I have had great luck with two 'newer' varieties (Blush and Blue Berry) that were both phenomenal tasting, crazy productive and hardy plants. I thought people might especially like seeds from some of these, so I am saving lots. If anyone else knows what type of tomato seeds are appreciated in these sort of swaps, I'd love to hear it. I think I'll save seed from all my plants just in case, but I don't want to send in unwanted seed.

I happen to grow both the blush and the blueberries. The blush is very productive. It actually broke the supports this evening. As for the blue berries. Magnificient to look at, sturdy plants. Blue/black to gold to red. Taste after all that was unremarkable. How did you feel about it

I thought the blush was on the sweet side with a good flavour. Blueberries was a good tasting tomato as long as it didn't get too much water. I thought it was just 'okay' -worth growing for looks and heavy production alone (we eat a lot of mixed cherry tomato salads, and it served its purpose there) but we finally had a week without rain, and when I tasted the fruit that ripened during this period it was remarkably tasty! Not extra-sweet, but had a very balanced tomato flavour.
