I wonder if the red perrilla (shiso) would make a good substitute for the red hot candies in bread and butter pickles?
Might have to try that and see. |

The one my aunt grew and the one I grew were both really good. But can be separated for different uses because of the growing conditions. We both grew the exact same type. The red leaf version from my aunt, it's really pretty and ornamental. But is also invasive like mint. |
