Amazing ! After a chilly night, the East and Northeast is cooking good at this hour ( 6 PM EDT).
The lowest temp of 57F is somewhere up in Rhode Island /Maine. That is almost what we've got here in PNW right now. I bet It was much warmer earlier in the day.
Alright, that is good news.

I'm wondering about how your plants are doing now?

Another cold front just went through last night, we were just a little above 32F and I could see a skim of ice on leftover puddles on our flat garage roof. I put buckets and pots over the 36 or so tomato plants I have out so far, I'm glad they were not any bigger or I would have run out of larger tubs and cat litter pails. I have another 50+ that I am holding to plant out Sunday or Monday when it's supposed to warm up. So beware north central and north easterners -- it's likely heading your way in the next few days.

Last week was last week, today up to 85F but look at the forecast for tomorrow and next week:

http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Wea...ation=USNY1276

Rob was supposed to bring my tomato plants this weekend, they were too small last weekend. Haven't heard from him so don't know when he will arrive.

Maybe best he doen't come this weekend, and fact is in my zone I never put plants out until the first week of June, weather permitting, but now that Freda is doing all my gardening for me I have to hope she'll have the time when it is time.

The good news is that she built another raised bed for me and while I can see that some stuff is up from inside I had to ask her this AM what it was.

OK, mainly the rabbit food I wanted, 4 kinds of radishes, 5 kinds of carrots, those small white turnips I like, some chinese veggies like Choi Joy, and somewhere there should be the 4 kinds of cukes, the Coosa summer squash, and two kinds of Armenian cukes ( actually melons as I think most folks know)

All the new perennials I ordered are in, and life is good.

Especially good since from about 9 PM until now, about noon, I've been out in the front room watching tennis from Paris, the French Open. And in 30 min I go backout there to watch even more. This is only the second time I've gone down that step with the walker to get out there for tennis.

Just taking a break and loading up the walker basket with the food that was prepared for me for today.

And of course checking three weather sites, a farmer's daughter would do that, to see if any bad weather is headed my way.
