It was a big worm, but it wasn't capable of climbing 60 feet, unlike one of these.

I know we have "spring peepers" or toads or ?? up in our gutters on the house and barn and some other weird spots. When they get noisy, the sound seems amplified and echos a bit and makes you crazy trying to figure out what it is.

You can also cut an earthworm in half and the front part will live.
so maybe the head part of the worm dropped out of the birds beak. |
