There are a few varieties in my garden that I can tell what they are, w/out lookin at the tag:
--- Daniel Burson; That is the only PL plant that I have. --- Silvery Fir Tree : It has unique foliage. -- Hahms Gelbe Topftomate : It is a micro dwarft. -- NBD : it is a dwarf with rugose foliage. Gardeneer |

Don't lose any sleep over it. My tomatoes planted now barely have time to ripen by fall. Even traditional cool crops aren't a sure thing in fall. - Lisa |

I could write a book on how to not know what each plant is. Seriously. My Popsicle stick labels are becoming unreadable from being wet in the dirt. I have one of those little shelf greenhouses which I had seed starting trays on in the early spring, and the wind blew it over. I have several tomatoes that are ? And I can choose from about 6 that fell out when it tipped over.
All of the cabbage things that got mixed up have pretty much declared themselves. |

I have lots of Mystery Tomatoes, mostly ones that germinated late after I had given up and removed the row tags from the seed starting tray but didn't have the heart to dump the tray, They will all go into one big Mystery Tomato Bed.

I did that last year and never admitted to anyone! Glad to see someone else make those errors. I think mine happened at the stage of potting up from a few true leaves into a solo cup. Triple checked it this year!
Salt - are you saying you plant out your fall crop in mid June? I could never do that without giving up production that is still solid at that point. Do you plant side by side or how do you manage the space? |

Dewayne, my plans are to plant them right after removing the spring plants. (Around mid July) I'm going to plant them 3' apart in two rows that are 5' apart.
All of that could change depending on the weather, but my plans are to have tomato plants ready for planting July 15-20th. Edit: I forgot to add the main point - I'll start the seeds before June 15th Last edited by AlittleSalt; May 24, 2016 at 12:21 PM. |

Ozone, here's a couple of my mix-ups. The first picture of Ambrosia Gold - They're bigger than they are supposed to be, but maybe they are Ambrosia Gold?
The second picture of NOT Sweet 100... it would be nice to have Sweet 100s this size, but... |
