I think that is what it is. I'll go take a picture of the ripe one I picked the other day. It is darker than what the picture shows. It is sort of pointed without a nipple.

Do you have seed of that tomato? Or do you think it might have come from my pack (Jung seed was my source, which also sells Chocolate Sprinkles)? Ironically enough if it is a seed mixup in my pack, I won't know. I lost my Wisconsin 55 to a late freeze this year and it was replaced with a plant from a local greenhouse.

Chocolate Sprinkler !!
I think I got a mystery solved. I got this tomato from store OP/heirloom. It looks a lot like some bumble Bee versions but it is more grape shaped. First : My mystery Second: Choc. Sprinkler What do you think ? |

It is the first time I've seen this variety. I'm reading it's a hybrid. I'm glad I got to try it.

It was for me as well.
Gardeneer, it sure looks like it. Looks like it was developed by Pan American Seed. Looks to be F1. http://www.panamseed.com/plant_info....62000001032979 |

I just looked at the ones still on the plant and got my wife to look too. They have little tiny specks that you can see in the sun, but not in the shade. Since they could be OP, I'll save seeds and start a few plants tomorrow. (That's when I am going to start all the others for the fall garden anyway.

It's very pretty - looks a lot like the Kumato cherry I grew from a store tomato (but very unlikely is anything related)
Many fruits in vigorous trusses, tough skins. There is some beautiful varieties among these black / dark grapes, they're my weakness... Just saw another one at the Russian seed site, the translated name into English goes something among the lines of Bunch of Chocolate, it might be another hybrid or an OP commercial variety. Salt, new Wisconsin 55 seeds are headed your way. I'd guess they will get there Monday or Tuesday next week.
