Thanks Jeanine-
I would like to give it a try. I have a few seeds left from the tomatoes I planted this year I could send in exchange if you like- I may not have any you are interested in. I have Green Copia from Baker Creek, also Jujube Cherry, Brandywine Red, Burpee's Long Keeper, Early Treat Hybrid, Yellow Pear, Black Cherry, and Roma. I plan on trying a bunch of different tomatoes next year. I did buy a few sale plants at the garden center ( the op varieties I was talking about.) I have been growing things for a long time but am new to heirlooms, saving seeds, and the incredible variety of tomatoes available to try. I have always been aware that the same seeds can grow completely different tasting tomatoes depending on gardens, climate and growing conditions. What I didn't know about was how many choices there are! I bought some plants from a local grower last year- several were heirlooms and/or O P varieties. But I didn't save seeds. This year I plan to save seeds also- on the vast majority of plants that I have that are open pollinated varieties. Sorry I'm being so long winded. Any way, yes, thank you. |
