Happy Birthday Tomatoville.

Thanks to Mischka and here's a little gift, in case you have not seen this yet. There is a Mischka there with Masha. No need to speak Russian to understand these.

This is the only gardening site where I feel like everyone is here to both learn and help others. It is easy to be yourself here.

Congrats Mischka, and thanks for making it all happen.

And I'm sure there are many here who know why M started this site, Yes, it came about b/c of the extreme nastiness at the original Garden Web.

And many who come here do so b/c it says tomatoville and are very surprised that there are Forums here for for almost everything, not just tomatoes.

It's been a long ride for me being here since the first day it opened and I came and found that he had registered me to be a Global mod.I said,OK, but only if I don't have to go into the main control panel and record everything I might do here since I had to do that at another site and no way was I ever going to do it again.

So my thanks to M as well, for creating this site, setting rules and guidelines, and keeping it going at HIS expense, especially for bandwidth which is necessary for all the picturophiles ( is that a word?) who are here.

Maybe we should think about helping to support this site, and not just with our fingers.

Carolyn

Look at the first post again.

Bower posted on Jan 18th, so Tville started on Jan 18th. And if you look at my icon,or others who came here quickly from GW,you'll see we joined in 2006.

So from Jan 18th, 2006, TV is now just a day past 11 years old.

Truly, TVille is the best garden site, and M had the vision to set it up right! It has been a place for much knowledge shared, and has advanced the growing of tomatoes, heirloom and otherwise, as well as the locus for the Dwarf Project!

Thanks to M for supporting the group. Ruling with an iron hand has kept the ship afloat for many years...quite an accomplishment.

Happy Birthday T'ville!

Everybody here is so generous with their time and gardening wisdom, even to someone like me just starting out without a lot of useful information to contribute back. Truly the best site and community out there. Happy Birthday TV and thank you Mischka and mods for maintaining it.

Carolyn,
A bunch of us have offered to help support this site several times, still would, including me. Mischka hasn't accepted the offers yet.
I would be happy to send in a contribution once per month.
