I'm growing Biker Billy F1 and F2's this year just to see what the F2's do.

My F2 retained the shape, but lost quite a bit of heat. In successive generations most, if not all heat was lost. The shape started changing slowly as well. Now, at F8, it still has the medium thick wall, no heat, elongated, slightly curved. You'd think it was a smallish anaheim. My guess is one of the original parents was an anaheim. And, it's still a good pepper! |

I always buy the 25¢ packs from Dollar General. You get around 60 seeds per pack. They are good sized and my production is always insane. It makes me smile when I sell one plant for 3$

I grew Jalafugo last year and they were a good size for stuffing.

That's genius! How many plants can you sell at your market? I'd hate to have 30 extra plants unsold.

I usually sell around 30 or so. I start them in 3 inch sheet pots so 16 per tray. I do 2 trays to sell and 2 for me/friends etc. So 1 pack makes me about 75$ profit minus dirt/pots/etc. Peppers are my worst seller by far, so I usually just buy the cheapest seeds I can to sell and so far they have always done great.

I love jalapeno's. I grow the hot and nots too. I used to have a nice plant that I overwintered a year or two. I think it was Mammoth-But I am not sure.
. But wow, I've read this thread twice. I looked online several times, but what are the biggest Jalapeno's? Almost all the main catalogs claim to have the biggest. I guess it depends on the growing conditions? . Also, has anyone grown Farmer's Jalapeno? a.k.a. Potato Jalapeno? |

I ended up going with Burpee Hot Pepper Big Guy Hybrid and Henry Fields Grande Hybrid. I guess I'll see who wins the contest this Summer.

As far as the size goes, they are very prolific, but the size is just average for a jalapeño, about the same as the TAM variety. |

NuMex Jalmundo
I still have NuMex Jalmundo seed if anyone wants them and it is not too late for you to start them. They are huge and great for poppers. Just pm me with your address if interested. My original seed were brought back from New Mexico when my brother was out there a few years back for a business trip.
Would like seed to some heart tomatoes but not required. I can do at least 10 offers of 6-8 seed. Deborah Last edited by friedgreen51; May 8, 2017 at 12:03 AM. |

I've grown the Farmer's Market Potato Jalapeno, many times. I collected the first seed from peppers I bought at our farmer's market--they're large (but I didn't ever try stuffing them).
