Between asking in the wanted forum, or looking under th trades, reading through the seed source thread can help you a lot. Many excellent suppliers of seeds there. Then there are a couple you have to send in a paper order form to buy through, Sandhill and E&R. Sandhill does have an online catalogue, E&R does not.
All top notch people to deal with. |

I second Marsha's seed offer- not only do her varieties grow true, but she also suggests unfamiliar varieties that were exceptional in her gardens. Rebel Yell is a perfect example- best tomato I have tasted.
I have had really bad luck with Riemer Seeds and Baker Creek- I couldn't even get a Brandywine to grow true.... Darin |

I like the seed offers, and trading with others here. One day, I will order from TGS. I really enjoy their catalogs, and the 10 year old seeds I have from them are still germinating/growing just fine.

If you are looking for mostly OP varieties, I recommend Sample Seeds Shop dot com.
Their prices are very reasonable (Most under $1.50) and shipping is almost ate the cost to them. That is the only place that I buy mail order seeds. Check it out !

I have given up on eBay. Got burned too many times. Sorry if there are good sellers there, but I don't want to take the chances.
renaissancefarms.org is my go to these days. It is not a big operation however, so don't expect fast ship out sometimes. Last edited by maxjohnson; January 30, 2017 at 12:53 PM. |

I get different seeds from different vendors. I have found some are stronger for greens and winter crops while others for tomatoes, peppers and potatoes. For tomatoes I am a big fan of Jeff Casey (http://caseysheirloomtomatoes.ca) and Johnny's Selected Seeds (https://www.johnnyseeds.com). Johnny's is expensive and their shipping is high, but I have never had any trouble with their seeds.
Victory Seeds (http://www.victoryseeds.com) has also been good for me, as has Nichols Garden Nursery (https://www.nicholsgardennursery.com/store/index.php), Nichols' sweets peppers have been wonderful producers for me. I also buy from Secret Seed Cartel (http://secretseedcartel.com) and Tatiana (http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Category:Seed_Order) whom I discovered last year (yes, very late to the party) because they have so many interesting varieties. This will be the first year I actually sow seeds from them, so we will see how they do! |
