I don't see many basements around here. The heavy storms will usually turn north of my town and head up into Arkansas. I think they like to follow the Red River.

Not in the black clay of the Trinity basin. A house build over a basement here would rise up out of the ground and float away. Other places, perhaps.

Was something that we had in the North, but have never seen one so far here in the South. Few folks have them like giant bubble type deals that are buried in the ground.

While visiting my friend in Nebraska we drove by a property that had a roof laying on the ground like the house was swallowed by a sinkhole.. I thought they took the top off of a house and set it there! . My pard says no, they built the house that way! . Jimbo

As for underground tornado storm safety: Cellars don't work here. They fill up with water - even with a sump pump/s, you would still have molds. A basement can work here, but it is very costly. An underground storm shelter is more feasible.

That's a lot of fish. No limits in your area?
Very different here. Strict and guidelines and limits in recreational fishing.

they run up I-30 historically. Seen plenty, however, I get more str8 line wind damage through the years, and the hail that comes with the twisters has done some damage. I have duct tape over the holes in my GH.

That's alot of fish sticks.

Kinda dumb question, but if you put a fish for each plant and you have alot of plants, won't your tomatoes smell and taste like fish?

You can have a basement anywhere you just have to know how to do it.
