Again, the seeds and packs "could" be old, but the framing, and materials are NOT old as this person claims.

He's an overly dramatic geek, no question. Over the top, absolutely. But I took the time to read all the Youtube comments on both videos, and yes, the question of Phillips head screws came up there too. Could be a modern hanger added later. Heck the frame and burlap could be from Lowe's last year. But we have no way of knowing about the the seeds, short of a DNA test. I for one believe him. My choice, and I could be disappointed. But I choose to look up......

I agree with you. Please don`t let this discourage you from posting, Whether the seeds are old or not remains to be seen by growing out the plants and I will follow on FB because he updates very frequently with photos. I like that he is posting things that are useful and relevant to all sorts of gardening projects on media that appeals to a younger demographic.
I can tell very clearly as a master gardener myself that this young man has a very big talent for gardening.f

It has to do with a fake set up.
Of course we cannot tell where the seeds come from.
Over the years I have seen that guys' videos popping up and making claims of all sorts. Look at his hands ! Does it look like someone's hands that has touched dirt/soil ???

Based on the dozens of videos showing him working in the dirt in his garden or containers, I conclude that he does touch dirt pretty often.

I also conclude that the seed packets and seeds are not fake, but opinions will obviously differ.

I want to add he bought this from someone on line it may very well not be him scamming but someone scamming him.
He is young and probably has no idea about screws or when they started using them.
To make paper look old all you have to do is treat it with acid it is how the make parchment paper today.

I have always wanted to fake something and take it to the Pawn Stars people.
Then after we settle on a price tell them it was a fake.

As for hands.
Mine can go from looking like a nightmare to a surgeons in a matter of no time.
Just wash dishes by hand with hot sudsy water and a little Clorox in it.

Clickbait in the negative sense to me is the ad at the bottom of a page telling me to go look at what some beautiful actress from my youth looks like today. Of course she looks older, because she is!

This fella has a successful YouTube channel so he has obviously created a likable persona for the camera and consistent content. If it was BS I would call it clickbait, but I don't perceive a lot of BS with him. As always, opinions will differ.

GIANT PRESSURE CANNER EXPLODES!!
Then only to show my over pressure valve opening.
It is all about views and subscriptions.
You get so many subscribers and companies start sending you all kinds of free stuff.

I like the guy and have watched him before!

Fakes are hard to detect. My oldest brother has made a living out of detecting art forgeries that other experts have certified as genuine . . . and paid millions for!

I don't have anything but positive things say to about MiGardener even if he can be wrong about certain things sometimes. I will say his channel helped more people start growing things than all of us here. If you don't think he ever touched dirt look at his raised beds harvest videos in 2016 and see if you can do better in your own backyard.
