A second vote for Malakhitovaya Shkatulka - tastes a lot like those green Galia melons. Better, if you ask me.

Persimmon has always been a fairly low producer, here. But, the flavor is worth it. So, I plant two of them to make up for the low production.

I love gold metal, a beautiful bi-color with a streak of red though out the meat. Also Dagmas perfection was a wonderful melon, 'dessert' tasting tomato the first year I grew it. Not so much the second year.
As noted, there are as many different subjective tastes as there are growing seasons that contribute to the end result. Z |
