Yep. Thankfully, this time of the year, there are some really tasty cherry tomatoes in supermarkets... even if they are imported they still have some of their flavor intact...

Cherry tomatoes - yes, more or less. But the 'ordinary' ones in supermarkets are often nearly reusable - look beautiful, are rock-hard and taste awful! So, one could wash the slices clean and put on plate next time again.

Although tomao plant are technically perenial but they tend to get old after one season of fruiting. But pepper plants keep their vigor and thus wrth overwintering. Tomatoes have weak hollow stems while peppers have pretty much solid stems.
