I used to have cats, but I am strictly a dog-woman now. Back when my son was 3 (now almost 21), we had a beautiful calico that he would grab by the tail & throw off a 10 foot balcony. I gave that cat to my sister to save the poor thing, and she still has it, almost 18 years later.

I had another cat that would deposit mice skulls & livers at the back door (she ate everything else).

Now I have three dogs - my 11 year old female German Shorthair pointer can smell mice & moles 2 feet below the ground, I kid you not. She will start digging furiously, dirt flying everywhere, find the mouse/mole & grab it with her mouth, throw it up in the air, catch it and then swallow it whole.

She also eats rabbits and cats, hence, no more kitties for us (even though they would be great for rodent control at the farm).
