Traveler has an almost burgundy color which is somewhere between red and pink.

I have had seeds for Burgundy Traveler for some time. Now I'm encouraged to try them out. Thanks all.
Jennifer (Ray, my favourite garden playmate, you are not alone and are very much appreciated for your approach!!!)

After all, look at the sequence of tomatoes that the breeder bred, all pink. Pinks are loved in the south from Bradley to German Johnson, etc. Sure I'm being a bit facetious b/c I personally don't think that pink tomatoes are high quality, ahem, while red ones aren't. But what other explanations are there for that comment?

That's what I thought they were alluding to, Carolyn, and I didn't understand why anyone would think Pink was superior to Red. I guess the "southern" attitude explains some of it.
So, I wonder what they think of white, yellow, orange, green, brown, & black!! (P.S. - nothing meant by the "Southern" comment - Pinks are preferred in Quebec as well - to each his own. "Judge not the colour of their skin" but by their flavour!)
