All my backyard will be tomato plants. And flowers but fewer than the past years. I plant only 40 varieties last year because I did not know about heirloom tomatoes and OP tomatoes and this year I will plant about 250. It will be the same quantities for the next years, because ........., no more space. But it's OK like that, I will give tomatoes to my friends, my children, my neighbourghood and I will keep the seeds to make more exchange this fall. Of course I will eat them too.
Your French is pretty good GWNorth. Ça me fera un grand plaisir d'échanger avec toi. |

At last, everything is in the garden. Since last thursday we have 88 and 90 degrees. It's pretty hot for that time of year. But my tomato plants seem to like it. A lot of work planting 321 varieties. And I am so happy it is done.

I just planted my tomatoes for Spring 2009. My 2001 Sungold seeds from Shepherds Seeds (remember them?) were the first to sprout. I planted 12/23 and Sungold is up.
Wow. |

How do you support so many tomatoes? This year I am planting more tomatoes than I have in a long time but still a fraction of what you are doing. Feldon’s suggestion of the Florida weave seems to be my likely solution.
