And I wonder if boiling the aspirin water makes it less effective too? |

aspirin spray
I've been showing signs of early blight. I've removed affected leaves and treated with peroxide spray a week and a half ago. Today I saw a few more spotty leaves appear. I'm going to try aspirin spray. Anyone have luck with aspirin...or anything else work to kill early blight. Unfortunately it's in my soil and I can't seem to rid myself of it

Try Actinovate as a soil drench and then use it as a foliar with EXEL LG. Ami

This link http://www.madehow.com/Volume-1/Aspirin.html shows how aspirin is made. The filler is corn starch and then other things are used as a lubricant, none of which appear to be water soluble.

Here in Miami they innoculated all the palm trees for a lethal yellowing disease that was killing a lot of trees. They put at the base a container with some chemical that released to the tree via a needle type system.Would it be too far fetched to consider a hypo injection of aspirin into a thick stem at botttom of a mater plant?

Very interesting idea...I wouldn't know how to construct such an apparatus, but I'd like to give it a try! Thank you, Kurt

What it was is a container that had a liquid with a hose that gravity fed directly into base of palms. Acetaminophen was in the container.I guess a one shot treatment of pure water soluble aspirin might be a good for someone who has the sick plants to experiment with.
