I've been lucky as far as diseases go, just a few cutworms. These are Creoles in the front and a few Big Boy, Better Boy, Celebrity and Delicious in the back row

Some of my plants. 1st fruit is on a Romanian variety called Buturoage and the 2nd one is Inima Dorinei, also a Romanian variety. Not all of the pictures are on there, the one that is is Inima Dorinei.

The other three photos. I guess I need to resize for all of them to fit on the same post.

Brandywine. They had reached the pulleys which are at 8', so I had to sag them a bit. This is the first time that I have done this. We'll see. |

My garden is doing well, but I can't say I am not a little jealous of how far along some of the other gardens are in this thread. |

I'm loving all these garden pictures!
Up here in Zone 3, our season has just begun. The last frost date for my area is May 25, but seeing as how the forecast showed no frost in sight, I planted on May 18. ^These are my plants the day after planting. Most are plants from local greenhouses, while the rest of my grown-from-seed plants were still hardening off. ^^These are my plants today. You can see how some plants have doubled in size, while my from-seed plants were added also. I'm growing Manitobas, Carol Chyko's Big Paste, St. Leon Secret, Supersweet 100s, T&T Monster, Rapunzel, Lemon Boy, Lemon Pear, and Better Boys. Last edited by Jonwpg; June 2, 2016 at 11:23 PM. |

Worm
After work, I went to check on my tomatoes (we have had over 4" of rain the last couple of days), and I found one of my plants (about 3 1/2' tall) had the very top wilted. Found a hole and then found another hole..........with the worm still in it.
IMG_0224.jpg This is the bottom worm hole (with worm still in it). I kinda panicked as soon as I saw him and within 3 seconds I had cut the stalk. I guess I thought that worm was gonna be like a Bugs Bunny cartoon and buzz thru all of my plants. IMG_0225.jpg This is the whole top cut off. 6 or 7 inches. IMG_0226.jpg The affected plant without a top. IMG_0227.jpg The worm. Not sure what kind that is. I don't think it is a tomato worm (you know, with the horn). IMG_0229.jpg Some of the rest of my plants. Loaded with tomatoes. |

This could be the last harvest of my Everglades tomatoes in Miami. The temps are getting too high.

Candy Sweet Icicle from Wild Boar Farms
I almost gave up on this Candy Sweet Icicle plant from Wild Boar Farms about three weeks ago when it was transplanted into a 15 gallon grow bag. It's very happy now glad I gave it some time can't wait for them to ripen. It has some very long droopy leaves that make it look like it's about to fall over at any moment but I think that's just how it grows.
