If that were my kitchen counter top, my DW would be the
one with teeth gnashing.... while muttering about the
kitchen being a mess.....

Lookin' good though!

Spatz-And to think I sent you and Grub seed! I called my friend, my dentist, and he prescribed something for the gnashing-no help on the weeping!

Seriously, your harvest is looking great. Happy that the season is doing so well for you folks.

All the best, Michael

Ain't it wonderful that something as common as growing a tomato can bring people together from all over the world?

Michael, I often stop and ponder that very thing. Where would be without those maters?

If I haven't already said so, thanks so much for your kindness and advice this season. I'm loving it

Grub-You have already said it, but no need to do so. Sharing tomatoes and friendship is good!

Thanks Michael...

I'm handing the baton to Spatz now... shame we don't have any Queenslanders like old Peter the Greek to run with the cropping for the next three months or so...

Meantime, here is one of my last boxes picked today... note the Amalgro eggplants front left that a TVer from Spain kindly sent me seeds for. They remind me of maracas...

And one last one from inside the house with TYW in the foreground.

Thankyou for another great season.... goodnight,
Grubs

Okay... it's not over yet... there is a big report to come at some stage...

Meanwhile, we just ate a really big Indian Stripe. This has been the year of blacks, even though I haven't grown many this year.

They are all excellent and Cherokee Purple has had its best season. Indian Stripe has much more variable fruit size, but the flavour is every but as good and, while we had more small ones (edite: nearly all but this beast) the one tonight was almost 1lb and EXCELLENT tasting.

So if you can't get CP, but have IS, then grow that and enjoy the few big ones...

Lovely harvests, all of you. Yes, what ever happened to Volvo? Remembered he was last busy with grandpups. Miss his sense of wonder and humour.

Grub dearest, might I put the touch on you for some eggie seed, pretty please?

Sorry to say I am yet to save an eggplant seed, however, given the unusual nature of Amalgro, I am leaving at least one on the vine for seed saving and referring back to Craig's how-to. So I will have seeds for it and hopefully some others, but maybe not for a month or so... I'll PM you ASAP re this.

Cheers, Grubs. (Volvo was kind of like an Aussie version of Gimme...)

Weeeelllll..... today's haul is on the kitchen bench, too. I may have to do some serious tomato eating.

Elfie is in the foreground. Is she supposed to be yellow/orange? I thought she was pink. Soldacki is in the middle. To the right is an Indian Stripe. Herman's Yellow on top. Some Moldovan Green. Lemon Boy (quite small ones). Some Green Grape, Broad Ripple Yellow Currant, Black Cherry, Wild Tomato in the punnet.
