The weather forecast for the next week says it will be above the warmth. On Monday, I made the windows out of my hotbed and let them open permanently. Plants received a mild shock, but they must get used to. I installed the support in order the fruits do not lie on the ground. but the Mongolskyi karlik barely grows to a height of 30 cm.

Hi Vladimir,
Things look good. Would you say that the plants are more mature this year than last? |

It has been cold here in Buffalo, about 20 degrees below average! I can't even harden my cauli & cabbage plants, nights are below freezing! Some daytime highs were below freezing too, heck, we got an inch of snow a couple days ago.

That's amazing how early you are able to grow outside! I'm impressed.

Seeds of determinant tomatoes I sown on November 24, 2017 that's about a month earlier than the previous year. Last year, at the end of March, I planted significantly smaller plants. If I remember well, the only plant that was blooming was sarayev Shtambovyi (all the records of 2017 lost me in the computer crash). This year, all plants had flowering flowers and about half had small fruits. How some plants looked at the planting time is on the charts.

That's how they look in the cold frame tomatoes today.

Yesterday 15.5. was the last day when there was the possibility of the last frost. planted all the indeterminate tomatoes. Bush tomatoes look really good and I think some might be mature at the end of May.

They all look very bushy and healthy. Which one do you think will be your first ripe one of the year?

I think the first ripe fruit will have Sophie's choice and Sarayev Shtambovyi. I planted them with miniature fruits on March 26, 2018.

About four days I will not go to the garden (doctors - colonoscopy). That's why I picked the first two tomatoes from cold bed - Sophie´s choice in the left and Sarayev Shtambovyi in the right. I put them in my pocket and when I wore the pallets, I squeezed Sophie's choice. These tomatoes are not yet the right color, but they mature at home. Anyway, I have them to get their seeds. The flowers were pollinated at home behind the window, and on 25th March 2018 they had tiny fruits. DTM for about 60 days. Other ripe fruits (from plants planted with flowers only) I expect ripe fruit until sometime in early June.
If I want more tomatoes next year in May, I'll have to: Plant the plants with small fruits. or solve a large relative humidity in a cold frame (silica gel). I'm having entertaiment for the next year. Vladimír |
