To answer your question no I didn't eat the frog.
Many years ago I used to shoot bull frogs and eat them.
Then around 12 years old I started to feel sorry for the frogs and stopped killing them.
They became my friends.
My mom even bought me a Freddy the frog floating soap dish from Avon.
Here is one just like the one I had.

As for the stink bugs the frogs wont eat them as they are toxic to frogs and probably lizards.
I dont know of anything that will eat them.

I don't think birds will eat them either, at least I've never seen one eating a stink bug.

Separate: I just found the 1-in-20 hot Shi-Shi-To pepper. It's red and plenty hot. I would compare it to a jalapeno heat wise.

Worth... that's what I was asking was if the frog would eat the stinkbug. Thanks for the explanation. Cute soap dish.

I know I was just going along with it.

Have any of you guys noticed how the frog is holding on to the the branch, it is using its thumb like a person.

Okay...Shi-Shi-To peppers are HOT when left on the plant too long. I just ate another one that rivals Serrano heat. It was good though.

Worth I wanted to get your opinion on black tomatoes that will grow/produce well in our Summer heat? (March - mid July) That BK was very good that we ate last night.

It would be nice if there are some that could live through late July and August here, but I doubt there's a such thing.

I also read that Shi-shi-tos get hotter if they are distressed by inconsistent watering and or too much sun in the dead of summer (when they wilt mid day). We tease my sister because shi-shi-tos off her plants are way hotter than ours. We tell her she abuses her pepper plants.

Ginny, that is exactly how they have been watered this year. It rained almost every day in May and not at all in June. The garden they are growing in finally dried out enough yesterday - that we can start watering on a schedule now. Well, except the forecast is for rain the next 7 days. At least it's lower chances of rain.

Salt the only one (I) know of is one called Black Plumb.
It will keep on trucking when others have bit the dust.

I don't believe it I fertilize the garden and trim dead branches and it comes a downpour.

You got the rain alright. We are having severe thunderstorm warnings here. A gust of wind just took the top off a pine tree at my parents house.

Ginny
Ginny,
Do the other tree a favor and cut the tree down that got the top busted out of it.
It looks like was damaged in the middle anyway.
It was the closest one in the photo wasn't it?
It looks like they were too close to each other.

Yes there are tons of pines and oaks. We use to lose a few every year to lightening strikes. And lost some to Hurricane Charley back in 04 but this is the first micro burst that broke one like that.

Will definitely cut the rest down.

Wow, a lot has happened while I was processing turnips over the past couple hours. The NWS is now saying we might get storms Saturday through Thursday.
