The seeds have arrived! What a wonderful surprise for the end of the year.
Thank you, Gary. Thank you - for the many, many different varieties of tomatoes and peppers along with beans and zinnias. Such a fun time reading all of the unfamiliar names of tomatoes. Good thing I have a couple of months to choose which ones will be in the garden. Thank you everyone! |

Geza (paradicsomkiraly) has posted a large trade list in the Available for Trade forum.
Several varieties on his list are requested in the MMMM swap, but did not come in. I can list them here, and you can possibly trade with him. Or, I can do a large trade for many of the missing wish list varieties. Then the option would be to send them to you when they come in, or hold them for next winter. Gary |

Gary - the last swap you included a 3x5 card with 4 recommended plantings so that we could save extra tomato seeds for the 2014 swap.
I did grow 3 of the 4 and sent in their seeds. I'm glad I did, because I loved the new tomatoes and plan on growing the same 3 this summer. For this year, are there any recommendations for us to grow particular tomatoes for the 2015 seed swap? |

I received my package today and am BLOWN AWAY! Gary, Thank you so much for doing this and all the time it must have taken.
Thank you TomatoVillians for your seed donations. I received so many more packs than I sent in. It will be fun learning about all these new varieties. Thanks again, Barb |

crrections, sending Gardenwebbers to Tomatoville, finding out what some varieties are, etc... Hopefully in a week or two, I can list the varieties that are overdone (like Black Cherry, Cherokee Purple, Green Zebra, Roma, etc...). And, I'll try to list varieties where only one or two packs came into the swap. Gary Last edited by Tormato; January 3, 2015 at 12:42 PM. |

I received a wonderful bounty in the mail yesterday!!!! Christmas just keeps coming. Thank you so much for your hard work. It had to be overwhelming. As I look out at a white, snowy landscape, it will help me think ahead to Spring. Can't wait to get these growing!

Then the other day, I read a reply to a different thread that Carolyn wrote about a tomato variety that is said to be extinct. (Shah) I thought, All it takes to keep that from happening is for one person to grow, save seeds, and share them with others who will do the same. I know I want to save several hundred Yellow Riesentraube seed to share because I could not find a place to order them from - and I looked for months. Through your advice Gary, I found them here in the Wanted Varieties section. Paul R answered my Wanted Varieties thread the same day and sent me YR seeds. I now have them safely tucked into my seed saving/hoarding binder I will be more than happy to grow and save seeds for other hard to find varieties. I'm sure I can find places to grow them on our 10 acres. TX R An (AlittleSalt) Last edited by AlittleSalt; January 3, 2015 at 02:12 PM. |

If there's a special variety that someone badly wants for this year that didn't come in to the swap, they can list it in the wanted section if it isn't commercially available. Don't forget, we're in the swap for the mystery, too! Or post the list of varieties that were wished and not received, someone may have a few seed stashed that they will decide to grow out for next year's swap because it's less commonly available, as A Little Salt was saying.... I know of one at least that I saw requested but have only a few seeds, and it's on my definite grow list in 2015 so I can save and share seed. |
