He had hoped it wouldn't take this long to get back online. He is going to try and pop in around the first of the month.

Thanks for posting, so glad you checked, and he is fine!

Will there be hybrid tomatoes and peppers sent in for the swap? I have a short list I would like...

There are occasionally one or two that end up in my package, so I know they have been sent in for past swaps. I would say it wouldn't hurt to include the request on the info sheet you send with your seeds. I'm betting many of us would rather see the hybrids go to someone who really wants them rather than be stuck with seeds we're not going to grow.

Some people do send in their left-over hybrid seeds so go right ahead and request them. Also SunGold and SunSugar are available to everyone for the donation of $1 per pack of seeds.

It has come to my attention that some people need some clarification on what to send in to Gary.

The first thing needed is a 6x9 inch Bubble Mailer. Inside the mailer the very first item to put in is your return postage. Then include a Self-Addressed label that he can use to send your same envelope back to you. That means that the label should be as big as the space that you use to address the envelope to Gary. Once that is done, make a copy of your WISH LIST. This MUST be alphabetized. After it is alphabetically in order, then number the varieties in order of your preference. If you are requesting SunGold or SunSugar write that on your list and include a $1 donation for each pack. If you are being sponsored, then you are done and can mail your envelope off to Gary.

If you are also sending in seeds please make an alphabetical list of what you are sending in. List how many packages and what category they are to go in or if they are for bonus seeds. If you are Sponsoring someone, then also state who it is and which seeds are sent in on their behalf. Do not use any staples or paperclips to keep your packs organized. Just put them in the envelope as is.

Once you have double checked your package twice for postage, label, seeds, donations and lists then you are ready to send it in to Gary.

Great reminder MissS! Just a few additions --

If you're entering any categories, list the categories and the variety you are sending in for each category.

If you're sending seeds for other people's wish lists, write these down in alphabetical order by variety under a Sending for Wish Lists heading.

If your sending bonus seeds, list these in alphabetical order under a Bonus Seeds heading.

And finally, write your name, forum name, and mailing address on your list in case it gets separated from your envelope.

(And I think I remember reading Garry prefers all the lists on one piece of paper if possible.)

Is Gary's address same as last year? Thanks. I will send some seeds soon. Thanks.

I'm back (sort of).

I don't know if I'll be able to catch up on reading old posts for awhile. If there are any really important questions, asking them again might help.

Meanwhile, the November 10th deadline for my receiving packages will be extended to at least the 17th.

Gary

Just a repeat for Gary's sake. If she sends in a mailer & postage, I've agreed to sponsor Annie from the other site. I don't know much more about her so hopefully she'll let you know that I'm sponsoring her.

~5 weeks offline means it's going to take me awhile to answer PM's and emails.
