Okay, I see... pretty hot and dry here today.
My tommies are looking great. Everything is outta control. Next year, I am going to grow half as many but... I see a jungle in the making again. |

You need help - contact Spatz she'll send a work crew of gnomes over. They are busy weeding in my garden. ( and a donkey for the manure)!

I would love to whisk those gnomes away on a tropical holiday, to send ransom notes, and take pictures of them tied to the anchor rope 20 miles from shore.

Bugger - blight not good. Bordeaux mix like you use for peach trees. Ask Spatz for a French sort of Bergerac gnome and she can arrange it. She is good on gnomes. Seriously, try the Bordeaux mix. Do you know the recipe? Dissolve 100g copper sulphate in 3 litres hot water in a none metal container. Leave overnight. Separately mix 100g hydrated lime to 3 l cold water. Next day pour the lime mix into the copper mix, slowly, stir, add another 4 litres water and spray onto the affected plants. Give it a couple of days, cut off the really badly affected leaves then give it a second spray. You probably know that but I'm in the mood to waffle.
Yes the weather is blighted here. I blame the planets. I can't believe this is late October - yes I can - its the bloody planets - wait until Christmas then we'll really have weather! It's the wind that's the killer. I'm hoping my planting is well sheltered near the western fence so should be OK when they get there. They are having their first night with the greenhouse open tonight - just to let them know what's in store. It's 6 degrees and falling. Sadder things than weather happened this week. Our next door neighbour was attacked at his work and stomped and kicked in the face so that he was unrecognisable. He is on a ventilator. My daughter was on emergency when he was brought in and of course, her first concern was for us and her children's safety. The perpetrator was brought in an hour later for drug testing and she got attacked by him - she called a Code Black but as she says most of the security people are so obese she got some nasty hits before they took him down. Then, those lovely people who run the Community Garden took their tomato plants to their partially completed studio at the garden to harden off before planting them tomorrow. Our local pyromaniac set fire to the building and they lost everything. I'll plant a few less myself and replace as much as I can. Sorry to crap on, not really related to tomatoes but I am a bit sickened by what people do to each other. I need a holiday.

No but Moon was occult Mars on the day of the attack. I've actually done several years study on the 'signature' or profile for pyromania and it's more a Jupiter theme. Here's this mornings work.

Very advanced looking plants Cosmic, looking good. My outside plants are starting to grow now but slowly. Have sprayed the greenhouse plants with chlorothalonil and opened it right up to dry it out.
Going to make two more self watering tups this weekend for some new seedlings |
