Decided to give Zluta Kytice plenty of room to stretch. Placed it in my largest non-fabric pot, a concrete beast for the future monster.

New home is amended with crab meal and a mix of veg compost, worm castings, Kelp, and minerals.

I was pleasantly surprised by Chef's Choice Orange. I'd read softballs and cardboard, and it was not that. Maybe the Kelp is helping with flavor, I enjoyed them and they definitely beat BHN871 for flavor.

My Odorikos continue to get smaller and are now saladette sized; everyone that tries them makes the full surprise face. Odoriko usually gets the dregs from the worm-compost tea, the payoff is intense flavor.

Momotaros are much larger.

Cowlick's Bwine continues to shine, as well as SOTW.

Potted up some good ones today, Gordost Sibiri, ISPL, Margaret Curtain, Terhune PL, Gribovsky, Marianna's Peace, Winsall, switched a Fresa from a free standing 5 gal container to a tube slot.

This summer has been a difficult one for plants at the seedling stage.

Ever since my imbecile teenager neighbor got roof access curtailed for everyone--massive amounts of people up there in very sharp heels pierced the roof + most of them relieved themselves and made it rain down onto the parking lot--, my plants don't receive enough sun, which has lead to stem rot, deficiencies of all sorts, mildew, and massive aphid attacks.

I've improved my sanitation practices and started using dilute hydrogen peroxide and a few other things to help them.

I stopped recycling soil and switched potting mixes in the hopes of reducing stem rot and it ended up being too hot for the seedlings. Some got scorched. It's cool to see how you add something to one side of the equation and inevitably it manifests itself, for good or bad, on the other side too.

Formula 707 is not as tomato friendly as I'd like it to be. Nonetheless, I may pull the trigger on another open bag at a deep discount, since peppers really dig it.

I started the process of adding chicken manure to the m3 or so of potting mix I'm solarizing. Bumped into a report on how it reduces some tomato pathogens, so I'm gonna give it a shot. I won't use it until Feb of next year.

Really looking forward to exploring SPAIN varieties, the ones I've tried thus far have been impressive in their production and taste.

And the winners of the week were my final Lucky Cross (this one is special indeed, thank you nctomatoman), and a very ripe GGWT (thanks Marsha!).

Sorry to hear your roof maters got kicked out. You are ahead of me and have some nice varieties coming along. Mine are 1 inch seedlings right now but are on their way. I like 707 but its a bit heavy on the peat. I like the roots original mix better as it has more coco coir. For the price it is hard to beat 707 though. I get the 3 cubic foot bags for 23 bucks from my local hydro store.

Vladimir,I'm in touch since I was about to e-mail you about the following.

You sent me seeds for several of your fave Spanish ones,one was Gigante Castilla,and one was Salobre,and I sent those and several others from you to Gerardo and also to my seed producers.

However,two things happened.

First,there were only 3 seeds of Salobre,he germninated 2, had plants out and then dense fog and they died of what Gerardo called organ failure.

He also lost the Gigante Castilla ones as well.

Two of my seed producers have Castilla out,actually Neil with 4 plants and Lee will also have some as well,so no problems there at all.

But do you have more Salobre seeds since Castilla and Salobre were two that Gerardo really wanted to grow.

Hopefully you do have more Salobre seeds,I can make it worth your while,or can you tell me where I might find some.

Here I am,see me type,I love mutifloras and as Gerado and I have said,we both love the new Spanish ones and I still have seeds for almost all the ones that I got from Ilex via his listings in the SSE Yearbook if they might interest you.Do you have Ribera,for instance,that wonderful picture of the old man holding that huge multiflora with large red beefsteaks?Can send and any of the other ones from Ilex.

I know that your new project is older Czech varieties,but I'm so glad to see you still have an interest in the Spanish ones.Actually Gerardo is doing seed production for many of the ones I sent him,from both Ilex and you, and that for my seed offer here at Tville.

Great price htg. There is a happy medium between coir and peat. Yours will catch up in no time. I found a ProMix blend on the MX side at 410 pesos for 2 cu ft, that's 21 USD or thereabouts. I passed. Gonna look into a few others at the hydro store.

Carolyn, I sent you only three seeds Salobre, because I only had five original seeds from Baikal. Two seeds I kept with the fact that I will be propagate seeds this year.
I was accidentally spreading into a bed a tomato disease (Verticilium?) and tomato plants at me now look like after bomdardování atomic bomb. Sad look.
Still looks pretty good American hybrids, but part of OP tomatoes ended without me to I finally received some fruit. Thus ended a single plant Salobre, I had.
I have some seeds of Salobre from non packed flowers 2015. If you would be interested, I will send.
Now I am trying possibility of additional all my seeds treatment with sodium hypochlorite, to prevent further spread of the diseases by infected seeds in my garden.
