It won't matter. They will just drop off since it can't support the fruit stage without roots
Just plop it back in the ground. I had a friend who stopped by after a freeze a few years ago and sing so had covered mine I still had maters on the garden
They had none. So I went around the rows and collected suckers and handed them to him and told him to put them in 22nd cover them. He and his wife were amazed that they had tomatoes that year.

Seems that we are getting the same weather, by just few days of delay.

We had about an inch of rain last night and it cooled off. And got windy
For the next 10 days our highs are forecast @ 70s and lows dropping as low as 46F.
We almost his 100F few days in late April.

After the last 10 days being very cool, flooding rain and cloudy skies we got up to 73f today with lots of sunshine. The next few days looks like warmer temps (80f) and sunny. Much needed change.

In about 12 years in my present location it has not been so wet and rainy for so many days. Little Sun and the temperature around 10C or a bit lower in the mornings.

I walk about 3 km with the dog every morning along a forested paved path. For ten years the path has been strewn with earthworms and snails. At one time it was almost impossible not to step on them. Over the years they have dwindled in numbers. The robins are having a hard time finding worms for their young this year. This year I have seen possibly 20 earth worms and one snail. Very disconcerting.

I have informed the Parks and Grounds officials, with no response. I suspect the kill is due to the type of spray they now use on the adjoining roads in the Winter. It is sort of like used KFC grease.

My walk is now a Silent Earth Event.

Weather doesn't get any better than it is today in my little part of the world. Cool morning and warm afternoon with sunshine, low humidity and a slight breeze. Just perfect!

I have tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants ready to go in the garden, but not with this weather. Tomatoes are from last week of March; peppers and eggplants started first week of March. Currently I have them on 3 racks/shelves outside, covered by AG19 white poly. They have been there for the last month for the most part.

Sunday/Monday/Tuesday are supposed to dip to the mid 30s here in SE PA. Is that too cold for the plants as situated? What are my options for leaving them out but enhancing their protection?

You can use a light to keep them warm but if I where you and where you live I wouldn't gamble on it.

Salt, I took your direction and fertilized using Miracle Grow for Maters. They needed a good kick in the bisquits after all the rain and cold with the warm sunshine these next few days. They have been in the ground for 12 days and are only 6-8" tall. Hopefully this will make them jump.
