I purchased a bolt like this on Amazon for a reasonable price and double layered it to drape over plants to shield some of the sun. It is surprising but it did work to a limited degree. I needed something light weight still allowing air through it.

That's a good point, Gorbelly....
There's no way the stuff I bought would have ever made it to second hand!

Sometimes what you repurpose can be just as good or better than what they sell for garden.

Anybody brought up that you can use it for rice bags to throw rice a weddings?

Speaking of wedding there was a guy at work saying/bragging he was going to spend $10,000 on his wedding.
I told him I spent $50 on mine and it lasted 34 years.
The whole place cracked up.

We spent $25 for the licence, and it's been 46 years - not trying to one-up you or anything, just that I know so many who have spent so much and had it last only a few years. So sad, I guess priorities differ.

And just to keep on topic, no tulle was used at our wedding!

You can make skinny tubes of it to hang/store garlic.

I had to ask what it was at garden web years ago and that is how I related it to the rice wedding bags.

One of my best friends had to get married (shotgun wedding) at 17 and no one thought it would last.
That was 41 years and two collage educated grown girls later.

I cant believe Leann is 40 years old and Casey is in her 30's.

A $10,000 wedding is actually a bargain. I think the average these days is upwards of $20,000 just for "the basics."

We paid for our license, had a city hall ceremony, and mom and dad threw us a party at their house the next night. We just celebrated number 34 last month. And yes, mom made sure there were wedding favors that used both Tulle and Jordan Almonds.

I haven't used Tulle in the garden, but I do have a huge piece of row cover that I bought at the local farm and garden store where they sell it by the yard. It's sturdier than the stuff that's sold for a lot more in those little packages.
