You are using it just to support plants not drinking out of. Even if it did leach a tiny amount of WHATEVER, it is not going to end up in the tomato fruits. Depending on the molecule size of disputed chemical , probably plants won't up take it anyway.

On the becoming brittle , say it happens after 3 years, heck it cost couple of bucks for a 10ft length.
I am using the electrical version for my mini hoops. Third year going.

Much of the contaminates that come from pipe is due to the velocity of the water being too high.
This washes the walls of the pipe and fittings off and eventually eats a hole in the pipe.

Doubt it but you can buy a cheap pvc cutter like the one in Worths pic for 6 or so bucks at Lowes or Home Depot.

I use one of these copper tubing cutter.
It can fit in the palm of your hand

Is there any reason you cant cut them yourself?
If you had rather not say that is fine.

The PVC cutter is very easy unless you cant due to health reasons.

When I want precise repetitious measurements I have even used my table saw.

You can use a hacksaw to cut conduit also.

Just make sure you use 24 to 32 tooth count.
24 is the best, anything less will drive you nuts.
