Really Sweet Cherry Tomatoes

I'm in LOVE with the taste of Blush this year and have been eating it in preference to most of the 30 varieties that I grew this year (the exceptions being Lithium Sunset, Little Lucky and my all time favourite (not Early Annie) which tastes of marzipan). Blush is absolutely fabulous, and I think it is slightly sweeter than Maglia Rosa. I will definitely grow both next year

Sweet Aperitif was also excellent, but my dog really loved them and hounded me every time I went out to the veggie garden so that I felt obliged to pick them for her and, if I was lucky, I ate one or two while I was out there. They never made it into the house, even for a taste test against my favourites

Crazy it is. She follows me down to the veggie garden and sits patiently, staring at me. If I take too long and try to ignore her she clacks her teeth. She's trained me well

I should add that I just fed them both half an hour early because they don't understand putting the clocks back, and they do so hate to wait for their grub

With apologies to the OP. Just to make it more tomato-related, I really do think that Abbey likes Sungold the best. When I grow it, she makes a point of sitting right beside the plant in hopes that she will get some. If I give her tomatoes that she doesn't like, she will spit them out....

Isis Candy was a complete bust for me. It was watery, mushy - it split - won't be back. Sweet Million was great as was SunGold. Not sure what will be on my list for next year besides those two and Casino Chips which I hear is delicious. Maybe an Artisan or two!

Interestingly, I commented that Nectar F1 was so average earlier, but this year, it was great (from the same seed pack), I actually also grew Sweet Million, which was not as good as I remembered, and won't be grown again.
I grew Isis Candy for the first time this year, and really liked it.
Sungold seems to be always good, every year.

Haven't grown it for many a year, but I recall Sweet Chelsea F1 was excellent - and a more recent recommendation Apero F1 - just amazing taste

Abs has a very discriminating palate. Ella Fitzgerald dog never met a tomato she didn't like.

Isis Candy was also a bust for me, two years ago. Starfire Isis did somewhat better. But I still like Sunrise Bumble Bee better than both of them.

As far as "really sweet" goes, all of the Ambrosia cherries have been sweet for me. I've tried pink, red, orange, and blue. The bugs got my gold, I think. Unfortunately from a market gardener perspective, the fruit all are on the small side. Ambrosia Blue, which has orange flesh, was the exception. It was closer to saladette size.

Fruit size is important to me, but it also varies a lot from year to year, I am finding. Some of my favorite varieties fluctuate between saladette and cherry, depending upon weather and conditions.

Sungold split. every. last. one. unless you pick them green... or maybe dry farm them but they are the fruit fly draw from 10 miles away for me.

I loved jelly bean this year. it is a grape and not a cherry though.

This was this past season.
For 2018 I am drpping Black Cherry and Sungold. BC was disease magnet plus I did not care for its color and taste. Sungold was a tomato machine but as you might know the fruits crack and the size too tiny.
I will add an accidental grape, in the compost pile from some store bought. What i like about it is that never ever would crack , is meaty, no disease. Surprisingly it is the only tomato in my gRden that is still producing. It is perfect for cooking, for pasta , stir fry. The taste is good too.
Esterina and Cherry Drops will be coming back too. They both had fruity taste , not too sweet.

For sweet, Russian Mini Yellow can’t be beat. But they are small, though that makes them perfect for garden snacking. For flavor, my favorite grape is Tami G. For a red cherry, Rancho Solito tops my chart, though they are prone to split outside here, so I only grow them in my greenhouse now so I can control moisture better. For production and just-right size and good flavor, Cherry Bomb took the prize this year. Of the Artisan tomatoes, my favorite for flavor is Blush, followed by Lucky Tiger.

Even though it may be boring, I am sticking with Supersweet 100. I grew Bloody Butcher also last year, it was not sweet but had full tomato flavor. I'll probably grow 1 BB again this year, but SS100 will always be a main stay in my garden.

Edit: My SS100 always produced consistent sized cherry tomatoes all the way through the season, not sure why you say yours get smaller at the end of the season ??
