You've thrown the gauntlet! Those little old ladies will be back next year with a vengeance.

Congrats to you and the family!

Taste over size all day long, but that's hilarious!

HTG- I wish you the best, but you won't need it, you're going to win.
At some point I'll get you to say "Chichén Itzá"

Congrats HTG, those smiles from ear to ear are priceless!

HTG, I can't decide whether I'm happier for you for winning the competitions or for getting the rest of the family in on the whole thing. Either way, you're a double winner.

Nice job.

I think you did wonderful! And the kids have such huge grins, obviously enjoying the day with you and your wife. Great to see the pictures and that you all did so very well.

Maybe you will have inspired some to grow better tomatoes and to enjoy growing things.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on my family as well as our win. My kiddos deserved a ribbon for all the hard work they do outside in the garden. My son is the resident farmer in training and my daughter is a world class tomato taster/farmer in training. I hope the other people get inspired to try and seek out some better varieties. I had brought another dozen or so varieties for all to taste as well as our winning matoes. The crowd loved Esterina F1, Sun Gold F1, Moya Noire, and Lucky Tiger. A few of the varieties they brought were Vesuvious, Stupice, Red Grape, and a cute little old ladies volunteer cherry. Before we got there i said to my wife " watch some little old lady with a stabalized version of Sun Gold that she saved for 20 years is going to beat us". When that nice lady brought forth ger volunteer i told my wif "see, see there it is Anyway thank you all for the kind words and all.

Congratulations, well deserved. And so happy for your kids. It is such a positive lesson for them, very inspirational. You must be so proud.
We need more postings like that on TV, kids involvement in growing food is priceless.
Thank you for sharing this moment with us.

HTG,

It sounds like you and your family transformed what could have been a bit of a dull competition!

They will probably ask you to run the whole thing next year.

Well done!
