Who knows what seeds you got,they don 't or they wouldn't have labeled the seeds Aunt Lou, but the striped one sure is pretty whatever it is.

It's absolutely gorgeous, and I'll grow it out anyways, but I wish I knew what it was, and I wish it *was* the right thing. I'd never actually seen the fruit, just wanted the strain for its historical significance. Darn, back to square one.

I guess you can call the striped one Not Aunt Lou for now...how does it taste?

I don't know; it's only a small seedling for me. These photos came from the seller. I'll document it as it goes.

Yes, just a few miles west. I appreciate the offer & will be in touch. The pic in my sig is looking towards Maysville from our farm. If I looked in the other direction I would be looking down at Ripley.

I grew it in BC about three years ago, it was definitely not striped it was about 6 ounces,It was round and definitely pink. I used it as a canner as I had a lot of them and they were the best candidate I had for canning that year and it canned vey well.

Grown here in Nebraska, mine were also solid pink, solid fruit with solid flavor. They were a bit larger, 12 ounce average with the largest at a whopping 24 ounces. The next couple of years they were a little smaller but still solid.
