Yesterday I bought a Blue Fortune Agastache and a Passion Vine "Inspiration." After googling growing passion vine in a pot, I decided to try it. I'm going to make a trellis for it out of dried bamboo stakes. Today I worked in my back yard and it was fun to watch the bees trying to bulldoze their fat little bodies into the tubular flowers of various salvias.

There is a passiflora that is hardy up here; just not that one.

Donna you have two good finds. I looked up your passion vine and it is beautiful! Those bees will really enjoy your Blue Fortune Agastache. They go nuts over it in my yard.

I don't have pictures from this year, but we're growing morning glories, lantanas, trumpet vines, and ones that I'm not remembering at this moment - along with 11 acres of wildflowers scattered about.

A couple of days ago I was at a nursery and saw a hummer on a bottlebrush. I put out my feeders and saw them this morning. I don't get very many in the spring. Get lots in the fall.

Mexican Flame Vine in full bloom
All sorts of different butterflies and skipper moths love is plant. Wish I could figure out how to germinate the seeds. I've tried numerous times by cuttings and also by the dried flower seed heads, but haven't solved the mystery yet...any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I agree! Gala those photos are just gorgeous. And..... I learned something. I have never thought of Lamb's Ears as a hummingbird plant. I will have to put it on my list of native plants that attract these birds.
Gardenboy, you finally have me stumped. I do not know what that plant is but it is magnificent. Do you know what it is? You might have to try dividing it's roots when it is done blooming to get yourself another one of the plants that I am drooling over.

Thank you. I looked it up and it says that it is very easy to start from cuttings or seed. Perhaps these might help you.
