Holy Geez, I see it know. Man that thing looks like it's on steroids. You been feeding them seaweed again havn't you?
Anyway the reason I didn't see it the first time was I was at work and I can't see photo's from "Photo Bucket" or similar providers as they are blocked due to DOD policy. Now what plant did it come from, RL or PL and when you going to cut that baby in half and show her off. And taste report please. Ami

lol ~ nope - no seaweed this season! (lazy) ; and I do not fertilize my plants throughout the growing season. My patch gets amended with compost every fall: that's it.

Ami, I have 2 F2 plants: 1 PL plant and 1 RL plant -

I've only harvested fruit and have posted any ripe maters pics from the RL which is a 7ft monster with 50-60 1lb (average) fruit size. Yes its red.

The flavor and disease tolerance are outstanding.

The PL F2 is only 4ft tall has a few fruit on it - HOWEVER - it is growing in a 5 gallon pot ... Not sure whats going on with the PL in regards to flavor yet.

I just picked these yesterday and am amazed at how this plant keeps punching out the tomatoes this late in the season. The first 2 pictures are of the 1+pounder. The next 2 are the rest of the harvest together. The next 2 pictures have 2 each "Big Chief" (Brandywine RL Cross PL version) Tom's lined up in the front row and the last is the whole picture in the background if you were wondering. Ami

If Ami did he's the new Marc Chagall who is one of my faves and Ami could command a million or so for that particular painting right now.

The painting was done by a friend of my brothers wife. My wife likes Marc Chagall and I came across a book about him in a used book store that had all his paintings. I picked this one and asked if he could paint it as I had seen his work which was fantastic. Even though he was not into these type of paintings he agreed to give it a try. Bottom line is the more he worked on the copy the more he got into it. In the end he was so engrossed in the work he even copied Chagalls signature. Didn't notice till I took it to get framed and the store owner brought it to my attention. Ami

Ami, tell your wife I'm another Marc Chagall person and as I recall the painting that your friend copied is called "Joy to the World".

Just picked today, NAR on the left, and Brandywine x NAR on the right. Seeds courtesy of Tomstrees.

To my taste buds, I prefer the Brandywine x NAR over the NAR. Will be growing it again in 2009 from these saved seeds.

I grew out some of Bill's F1 and F2 seeds last summer. I grew 5 F2 plants and 2 F1 plants. ALL plants were RL. My favorite? One of the F2's which is the picture above. This plant had disease resistance to beat the band and perfect tomatoes. (This pic doesn't do proper justice) I will be growing a few plants from this F2 next summer. Summer of F3, Here I come!
