Just so you know, take a look at the bottom right of each post and you will see the words QUOTE and QUICK REPLY. Just click on QUOTE and it will give you a new message with the person's message at the top (in quotes)

Some days they will be watered 3 times, it depends on the weather.

No, compost is not so good in containers, I use Pro Mix HP. We want everything as perfect as possible, from the tomato fertilizer formula, to the exact strength used at each stage of plant growth. Everything has already been calculated for us, we can, and do, send in leaf samples to make sure we are on track too.

.. you're getting this kind of result in that small space? Simply amazing. Do you have any post on here showing your setup? I'd be interested in seeing that, as I've been considering trying to setup an auto-watering system for my plants in pots/buckets.

It is just a standard two Dosatron system with drip emitters. You can google the set up, or probably can find it on Dosatron You Tube, or maybe their website.

I will check back when I get a chance, if you cannot find info, I will dig out some pics.

Hatgirl, It looks like Mega Bite is a hybrid, you haven't tried to stabilize it have you? That's some decent sized tomatoes (sites are quoting 4-6oz's) for that size of plant.

What size tomatoes did you get when you grew it?

My tomatoes were around 3oz/100g, but that was in a 1gallon pot with insufficient support and erratic feeding.

I got my first set of seeds from Nicky's Nursery and my second set (haven't sown them yet) from Kings Seeds. Neither say that it's an F1, but it might be. I haven't grown any from saved seed yet.

I liked it. It had a nice flesh to gel ratio, and it was sweet enough and not acidic. It was definitely a small slicer rather than a cherry tomato.

I ended up ordering 15 seeds from Park Seed. It's $3.50 USD for 15 seeds but shipping was only $2.00 USD to Canada so not too bad.

I'm thinking that if I like the tomatoes then I'll try to dehybridize it.
