I've been growing Black Cherry ever since it first came out. I find that the first dozen or so of the season to ripen are a little bland, but then they turn magnificent, and highly productive. I grow them mainly in containers. I've also had success rooting suckers to create additional plants.

Once a plant's yielded about 150 BCs, it tends to give up and crisp up with branches drying out. It doesn't match any of the diseases I've seen pictures of. Let me know if you've had a similar experience.

Finally, I sometimes have trouble germinating them, so I plant around 12 of them each year (I only wind up planting three or four of them for space reasons). Last year I only had two plants that germinated well but was able to root a couple of the suckers to get what I wanted.
