The sushi is pretty good here in NJ -
However, my fav. places for it are: Nobu in NY & Morimoto's (Iron Chef from Food Network) in Philly PA ~ Tom

coronabarb,
Your kids sound pretty "kewl" 8) Tom, Dude, Man, Bro..... This thread is like, taking on a life of its own......fer sure! * * * You can totally get good sushi even if you don't live on the coast. For me, it's the spicy tuna rolls and sashimi maguro (lots of wasabi, ginger, and SAKE !) thank you very much. RIK |

I just found blossoms on Rose & German Queen. Others show signs of buds.

matermama, You crack me up About the spelling..... No worries  It's a common mistake made by those who don't know the difference between "cheif" and "cheef". I never have taken it personally. Besides, It's just an old screen name I always used when playing video games between classes. No, wait. I went to class between video games , that's right. 8) RIK |

Tell me if you do , i always tell people to do this and the look at me like then they do it and they are addicted to it Picture a bundh of almost over the hill ladies in a circle doing it and the expressions after the wasabi hits em right in the nasal passage We actually almost got kicked out of one restaurant you know you want to  sue |

Finally seeing buds
I put in-ground May 16th - largish transplants about 14" -
Been pinchin' off buds for a week or so, and now that I got another 6"new growth I'm gonna let 'em go. Early girl is setting fruit, and my op's are budding. Even the BW has a few! Too cool. All are about 30" now. Matt |

Ciao all,
Happy and Manyel both have open flowers. Kimberly has a few flowers almost ready to open. Munchkin's Whippersnapper has several open flowers and 1 or 2 tiny tomatoes. So far, that's it for me, but everything is growing well, including the Berkeley Tie Dye that I had to root because I accidentally snapped it off while transplanting it and the Earl's Faux Faux that was almost defoliated at transplant time. Black From Tula is still small, but it's healthy and it's grown some since transplanting. I'm unsure at this point how prolific it will be, but I'll have to wait and see, I guess.

My garden has just gone in over the last week. I find it strange that White Beauty & Giant Belgium are the first to have flowers - not my "earlies".

I have some almost full sized tomatoes now on my Silvery Fir Tree, Azoychka & SunGold plants. I'm betting I'll have a ripe one before the end of the month, or very early July at the latest. Black from Tula and Cherokee Purple have some nice sized tomatoes too, but not full-sized yet.
