Did not realize so many tomatoes were on the "endangered" list? Cherokee Purple, Brandywine Sudduth, ARGG...
How do they come up with this stuff? LoL

I don't know where you see the striped tomato but if you link to their website from the Tucson one and then go to the bottom where it says other tomatoes, yes, they were/are selling plants for BTD.

Yes, now I remember seeing that striped one. I've looked at the website, the specialized Tucson website and at the time I posted just didn't remember about it.

It's OK, I can plead short term memory problem syndrome.

I have mixed feelings about this company, in one way I think "good they are selling Heirlooms, and getting the word out about organic gardening" but then again, I think $4.00 a plant is really outrageous. I was selling my plants for $2.00 and could not sell all that I had. (to be fair I had almost 1500 plants, sold all but 400 and donated those to the local food bank farm).

I actually just attended a market where Arivapa Heirlooms was set up, of course I wanted to check out the competition so I checked out their booth. They claim that a lot of the varieties they offer are native to Arizona, I think we all know that is not true. Their plants looked healthy enough but I couldn't help comparing them to mine which were greener and larger not to mention cheaper. I did meet the lady working their booth but I don't remember her name. As for planting seeds in this area this late in the season, I don't think that is an issue, I plant seeds all year, you just need the proper environment.
