For those that were included in the seed offer from Marko, here's a reminder to grow a plant or two this season. A worthwhile and tasty Cherry, which produces lots of seeds if you wish to save some.
A few Aussie's will share in the seed I managed to collect. Thanks for the seed Marko. |

I have a few I just transplanted. They are doing great. I look forward to growing this and I am sure my grandson will love this new cherry variety. He loves Sungold as well.
Thank you again Marko for sharing your seeds. Ginny |

This cherry was the first to germinate for me, and the seedlings look good (but it's still early - they are only a week old). Thank you again!

The leaves do have an interesting shape to them. I wonder if they would be classified as regular leafed?

Marko, I confess that I missplaced the seeds you sent me and I know they will turn up sometime, somewhere.
But look at post #8 where Alex was noting the same variety. And it turns out that Alex and I exchanged a few varieties and I was so happy when I saw that one he sent me was Nano Ciliegia, from Italy as he explained in post # 8. So it will be grown this summer and I can still be a member of the Ciliega group.

I potted up 3 flortis cherries today. 100% germination, although one was later than the others.

Glad to see everybody's seedlings are doing fine. I had nearly 100% germination and all germinated at the same time. They look like soldiers, all the same in straight rows.
Carolyn I didn't know I started a group . Wish you good luck with Nano Ciliegia! |

I had 100% germination too so now I have 7 seedlings. Since I only can use 2, I'll share the rest with my friends and coworkers. Can't wait to try them, and thank you again Marko. My first letter ever from Europe too!

Thread members, that's cool !
Little off topic - where I live is frost possible till 1st may, but april frost happens only once in 4-5 years. Last 5 aprils were frost free. What to expect this year but frost in april! We have frost alert for tomorrow (-1C/30F) and I have 12 tomatoes outside in large containers that can't be brought inside. Only thing I can do is to cover them and pray. And yes, people were really looking at me like I'm crazy when I planted tomatoes outside on march 22. |
